GUIDED TRIPS TO ABADIANIA, BRAZIL

They come by the millions from all over the world, from different walks of life , for different needs, but all for the same reason – to visit João Teixeira de Fariais, a humble man they call "João de Deus or “John of God” – the miracle man.  This dedicated man sees thousands of people each week at a spiritual healing center called Casa de Dom Inácio in Abadiania, Brazil.  People come to the “casa” for many different needs that range from serious dis-eases, inoperable, or incurable life taking conditions, to requests to find a more peaceful and supported spiritual life.   His rare gift, the literal giving over of his physical body to the healing spirits they call “entities” provides healing energies to assist with whatever request is being made of him.  All areas of the mind, body and spirit are addressed and helped with.  Most of the time help comes in the form of an unfolding process that takes patience and time.  Some however, receive immediate and spontaneous healings which are dramatic and have inspired those that witness them to name him "miracle man" or more commonly, "John of God".  He is a simple man, dedicated to his life’s mission and says “It is not I who heals, but God”. 

The son of a tailor and poor family, he struck out as a teenager to find work and experienced his first "incorporation" at a church after being directed there by an apparition of Saint Rita of Cassia when she appeared to him at a river bend.

His commitment to the work he was doing brought him to Abadiania, a rural town situated on a crystal bed.  The beautiful and powerful land supported the works of the casa and he has been seeing visitors there for over 20 years free of charge.  His mission now offers free soup during the 3 morning sessions throughout the week. John "in Entity" sees people three times a week on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays during twice daily sessions. There are over 30 Entities (discarnate spiritual energies) from the past who work through the medium. He goes into a deep trance and allows his body to be used by the Entities to heal others. John's body serves as a channel for the Entities to communicate and connect with us and he has no memory of the experience during the time he allows his body to be utilized. The most common entities working through him are: Francisco Xavier (St. Francis Xavier), Doctor Oswaldo Cruz (a Brazilian doctor who worked in public health at the turn of the twentieth century and virtually eradicated yellow fever), King Solomon, Dom Inácio de Loyola (St. Ignatius; Patron Saint who the casa is named in honor of), Dr. Jose Valdevino, Bezerra de Menezes, André Luiz and Dr. Augusto de Almeida and Dr. Adolf Fritz. Healing's are offered through physical and non-physical spiritual surgeries as well as visits to the sacred waterfall, prescribed herbs, sessions on the crystal bed, and sitting "in current" which is a meditative state that allows healing and helps hold the high vibration of the energy needed for the Entities to do their work.

I have a great belief in the work that is continuously offered at the healing casa of John of God. I took my first trip in July of 2004, and felt like it was one of the most amazing places on earth. Abadiania is an experience in community love and intense personal support. There wasn't an aspect of myself spiritually, mentally, emotionally nor physically that was left unimpacted by the healing aspects of staying at this special place.
